DescriptionWe are a manufacturer of industrial and consumer packaging materials - plastic film and bags, multiwall paper bags, and coated papers. The company employs about 2,000 employees in 20 locations in Canada and the USA. We have a tremendous opportunity for growth and advancement for a Production Engineer in our Wilmington, Ohio location. This facility has 200 employees, and enjoys state of the art machinery. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of contributing to process improvements. The primary purpose is to implement improvements to production processes, methods, and controls. They will:
Coordinate product changes within customer and company expectations.
Give direction to employees concerning production issues
Responsible for recommending and in most cases implementing solutions to ensure the product is produced efficiently
They will identify customer requirements and verify raw materials needed
They will work closely with customers to develop new bag sizes and construction changes to better utilize the production equipment. Follow up with trial orders, review performance and advise the plant of all results.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Improve Uptime
Identify and implement Overall Process Improvement
Qualification Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in bag or packaging manufacturing
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing or Industrial engineering
Must be proficient in the design and process of paper bag manufacturing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
